Why Water Is A Natural Anti-Depressant

Why Water is a Natural Anti-Depressant

Did you know that negative ions are natural anti-depressants and found in bucketloads near water?

So taking a lakeside, riverside or coastal walk is great for your emotional health.

Better still if you're brave enough to take a dip (yes I did get in after this photo was taken, as I absolutely love the water 🙂 ), as you start swimming and warm up, those blood vessels of yours will dilate.

This encourages the body to expel toxins and release feel-good endorphins.

That's why after you get out of what felt like freezing cold water on entry you feel that head-to-toe super-energisingly good sensation take over your body!

So seek out those lakes, rivers or sea spots regularly for the benefit of your emotional health.

And next time you're dilly-dallying about whether to take a dip or not, just switch off from the cold mentally, get in and think about how good it will make you feel
