Tropical Green Smoothie

This tasty Tropical Green Smoothie is loaded with heaps of great-for-you ingredients and mentally it may just give you that calming "I'm in the exotics" feeling 🙂

The best way to start the day is with a nutritiously rich breakfast that is low glycaemic. And smoothies fall right into that category. They're ideal for fat release, sustained energy and balanced mood.

Always use a clean, healthy protein base with some healthy carbs, fats and fibre to feed your body optimal nutrients and keep you satiated.

With smoothies you can make totally delicious creations, while cramming so many nutrients into that one meal with greens, herbs, spices and fruit. I absolutely love them!

Serves: Prep time: 5 minutes


  • 350ml filtered water
  • 2 ice cubes
  • juice 1 fresh lime
  • 2 scoops MySMART Protein Smoothie base (plant, whey or soy)
  • 10 raw almonds
  • 2 large handfuls kale
  • 2 sprigs fresh mint
  • 1 inch thick piece fresh ginger
  • 1 inch thick slice fresh or frozen pineapple (skin removed and roughly chopped)


  1. Put all of the ingredients into your Nutribullet or blender and blend until smooth (about 30 seconds). Add more water or ice (to chill or thicken) if needed to make to your liking.

Top Tip: Always put the water in your blender first and use frozen fruit if out of season or for convenience and colder temperature
