It can be challenging finding healthy snacks that really hit the spot, but these Raw Chocolate & Goji Berry Energy Balls do just that. Snacks can also be very expensive. These Energy Balls are easy to make and take to work, so you have something healthy on-hand to stop you reaching for that no-goodness-whatsoever biscuit or chocolate bar.

Coconut oil is great for keeping your blood sugar stable and sneaking in some healthy fat. Goji berries are loaded with antioxidants which is always a good thing to keep you energised and immune-strong. Dates add a hint of sweetness and help to bind the balls. Raw cacao is the best replacement for actual chocolate and will give you a real energy boost.

SERVES 16 (Energy balls)



  • 100g dates
  • 50g goji berries
  • 200g hazelnuts
  • 3 tablespoons raw cacao
  • 4 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon


  1. Place the dates and goji berries into your food processor and pulse into little bits.
  2. Add everything else to the dates and blend until it all forms together. If it's not sticking add a couple more dates.
  3. Roll into even sized balls and place into the fridge to harden for a couple of hours or the freezer for 30 minutes if you want them sooner.
