Blackberry Smoothie Bowl Recipe

Blackberry Smoothie Bowl

Smoothie bowls are great if you prefer to eat your smoothie rather than drink it!

And this morning after my workout, I was more in the mood for eating than drinking my breakfast smoothie. So I made this Blackberry Smoothie Bowl, and just had to share the recipe with you - because it was totally delicious.

Smoothie Bowls are made in exactly the same way as a smoothie, except the consistency needs to be thicker. To do this add less water and a bit more ice.

Chia seeds will also naturally thicken your smoothie. So throw a tablespoon of them in for more healthy fats and fibre, and after 15 minutes the smoothie will automatically have a more set-like appearance. This means make your smoothie bowl and leave it before adding the topping.

What I love about smoothie bowls is that you can really go to town with pretty decorative toppings that are still healthy and add extra appetising flavour, colour and texture to your smoothie bowl.

Just like my Tropical Green Smoothie and all the smoothies that I add to my blog, the key ingredient in this Blackberry Smoothie Bowl is the MySMART Protein Smoothie bases.

As they're a clean, healthy and complete protein base that's full of optimal nutrients to keep you energised, focused and in that oh-so desirable fat-burning zone. Being and feeling this way is such an everything bonus to your body and day!

You can get more info or order these high quality, gluten-free protein smoothie bases here (select "shop now", "market" then "food and energy"). There is also a protein booster that you can add if you work out lots and need more protein.

Happy Smoothie Bowl creating!
