This smoothie is filling, full of goodness and simply divine. I'm not joking, but just drinking this mentally makes you feel incredibly healthy and energised. It’s an instant pick-me-up!
If you’re not a regular smoothie drinker then each time you make one experiment with different combinations of ingredients to vary the flavours and boost your range of nutrient intake. It's about striking the right balance when it comes to choosing what to use.
Consistency is also key. Everyone has their own preference as to how thick or thin they like their smoothies, so play around with this until you're happy.
Ideal for breakfast, lunch or as a post work-out recovery drink.
- 16 ounces of water
- 1 serving of vanilla protein powder (I use this one)
- 1/3 cup of mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 large handful of fresh spinach
- 1 medium size banana
- 1 handful of oats
- 1 teaspoon of almond butter
- Optional: 1 teaspoon of honey to sweeten
Put all the ingredients into a blender and mix until smooth. If you're using a probiotic, stir it in after blending.
